It could be an insider!
Field Instructions:
Our monitors traced a call by one of Morzov's people to someone you may know. Like you, he sources some of his looks from Dr. K's Vintage. It might be one of our own. It might even be a friend. Don’t panic. You’re thinking double agent but don’t jump to conclusions. Visit with Dr. K and hang out like always while we try to find out who exactly made the call, when it happened, and what was discussed. Ask lightly about recent big purchases or unusual orders. If Morozov is sourcing disguises from there, it may be a trading ground for something more sinister.
My Take: Dr. K? The best collection of vintage goods in the city? Never. K doesn’t mix with questionables. I checked it out though. He showed me a bunch of WW2 era fatigues he was selling to a Japanese collector he met in NY. They were new old stock. Anyway, I spotted this summer weight Eisenhower cut pilot jacket that was just my size. Had to have it! Wait, you doin’t think the japanese buyer could be connected to Morzov do you? Nah… He’s just got good taste.
Agent Fit:
60’s Jungle camo jacket over a chambray work shirt with white military trousers. The fit in trim as the everything is slightly slim cut. The jacket length helps with the proportions balance for a smart overfall presentation. The color combination of a green top over white pants was one that Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) recognized around 15 years ago as popular among middle-aged stylish men in Rome, Florence, and Milan. I took notes and tucked it away.
Photo Notes: Golden hour sunlight was coming through this back alley in front of Dr. K’s Vintage. I’m not a fan of red-brick backgrounds but the sun was just right and I found an opportunity to work with the shadow covering most of my lower half which helped me achieve the preferred exposure on my face.
